Community
Our vision for One Port City is a collaborative environment where the city and port work together to reach their full potential, and actively engage the community while moving toward goals for the future. Community connections are a key part of this vision, and we will be continually checking in and asking for input from our region and the people who call it home.
Port Community Liaison Committee
The Port Community Liaison Committee (PCLC) is an ongoing mechanism for communication and engagement between the Halifax Port Authority and the larger Halifax community.
HPA SCHOLARSHIP
The Port of Halifax strongly believes in actively promoting higher education for members of the port community and their families. Each Spring, applications are available for a limited time on our website.
COMMUNITY INVESTMENT FUND
The Halifax Port Authority is committed to contributing to the wellness, vitality, and prosperity of the local and surrounding communities within Halifax Regional Municipality. Through the Community Investment Program, the HPA provides funds through charitable donations, sponsorships and in-kind contributions to worthwhile initiatives.
CAREERS
Our goal is to be a diverse and inclusive workforce that is representative of all people at all job levels. The Halifax Port Authority welcomes applications from Aboriginal People, African Nova Scotians and Other Racially Visible Persons, Persons with Disabilities and Women, in occupations or positions where they are under-represented.
